Having served for eight years with the Parachute Regiment and Royal Army Medical Corps, Alistair worked as a freelance expedition leader and overseas project manager before returning to the UK and founding Adventure Lifesigns (the first division of the Lifesigns Group). He has led over 30 overseas expeditions and is a qualified Mountain Leader and Trauma Medic.
IAN FORBES FRGS
Operations Director
Ian served for over 25 years with both the Regular and the Territorial Army, and has a solid background of working with a wide range of youth groups. Ian is an experienced and highly effective team leader, capable of identifying, planning and producing training packages to the needs of the customer. Ian is a qualified Mountain Leader and has lead over 25 overseas expeditions and has worked in training centres though out the world.
Medical Manager
Blue enjoyed a full service career in the Army which provided him with an immense background in Hostile Environment and medical training. He is expert in wilderness survival and trauma medicine. He is also an HSE Registered First Aid at Work Instructor, Emergency Medical Technician and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
CHRIS WEBB FRGS
Training Manager
After a Short Service Limited Commission with the Queen's Gurkha Engineers, Chris spent four years becoming a secondary teacher and a professional outdoor instructor and has since worked mainly with young people in the outdoor industry. He has led numerous expeditions in the UK and throughout the world from Canada and Nepal to China and Mongolia. Chris holds his Mountain Leader Award as well as his Single Pitch Award and is experienced sailor, skier and off-road driver.
SÖREN TRÜMPER FRGS
Environmental Consultant
Sören holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Sciences and has studied at the Universities of Oldenburg (Germany), and Bangor, Wales, where he specialised in the marine environment. Sören has travelled considerable to Northern and Eastern Europe as well as Central and South America
SHERRY STONE
Financial Manager
Sherry has been in the accounting field all her working life and has gained vast experience in all aspects of the financial world. Updating her computing knowledge by doing an HND in Business Information Technology, which she passed with Distinctions. Sherry enjoys travelling, having backpacked around Europe before having her two children, she then travelled with her son and daughter through France and Portugal, finally settling in Spain for two years. Now she enjoys looking after and riding her New Forest Pony.
Educational Advisor
After leaving Exeter University with a degree in Biological Sciences, Rowena went on to do a PGCE at Reading. She spent three years in the maintained sector and during this time took on the role of Duke of Edinburgh Award co-ordinator, widening its appeal to incorporate a much greater range of students. She went on to become a school co-ordinator, facilitating an expedition to Tanzania, before moving into the independent sector. Having worked on both sides of the education system she is aware of the unique pressures that now exist when organising any activity for young people.
Office Manager
Having previously worked in large multi-national organisations, in administration with secretarial support, Louise joined the Lifesigns Group in 2005. Since then Louise has become a qualified First Aid at Work instructor and assessor and is the key medical administrative contact within Medical Lifesigns. Louise has been on expedition to Morocco, and gets involved in all aspects of the Lifesigns group when not at home with her two young children.
Programme Manager
Having finished her degree in Public Administration and Management, Clare worked at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was responsible for the Army Scholarship cadets. She was also a member of the Army Polo Team. Clare has travelled extensively and now works as a Programme Manager for the Lifesigns Group.
